Months after veterinary doctor “Disha” was gang-raped and murdered in Shamshabad on the outskirts of Hyderabad, the naked body of an unidentified woman, aged 25-30 years, with her face smashed beyond recognition was found at an isolated spot under a bridge at Chevella in Ranga Reddy district this morning.

The police suspect the women could have been sexually assaulted and then her face disfigured with a boulder to evade detection. The police suspect the murder is the work of more than one person.

A green saree and other clothes were found lying near the body. Her hands were tied, but jewellery was still on the body. The body was spotted by some residents of Tangadapally village who then informed the police.
