120 students attend Women’s Day celebrations at Govt Mohindra College

The Department of Law, Government Mohindra College here celebrated International Women’s Day with enthusiasm under the guidance of Principal Sukhwinder Singh. The event was attended by 120 students, along with faculty members.

The celebrations featured insightful speeches by students, who eloquently expressed their views on women’s empowerment, gender equality and the significant role of women in society. Their speeches highlighted the importance of breaking stereotypes and ensuring equal opportunities for women in all walks of life.

Several students spoke on the importance of women’s rights, gender equality and achievements of women in different fields. Their speeches encouraged everyone to support and uplift women in society.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.
