A 13-year-old boy was allegedly stabbed to death at his home in Anand Nagar, Tripuri, on Thursday morning, police said. A case of murder was registered against the victim’s three uncles.

The deceased has been identified as Sharan Singh. According to family members, the incident occurred around 7 am when Sharan’s father had left for work and his mother had gone out for a walk. Sharan was alone in the house at the time.

It is alleged that during this time, three of Sharan’s uncles entered the home and fatally attacked him with a knife. When his mother returned, she found the room soaked in blood and Sharan lying dead, with a knife in his hand.

Upon receiving information, the police arrived at the scene and took the body into custody for postmortem examination.

SHO Sukhwinder Singh Gill said, “According to the family’s complaint, the child’s uncles carried out the attack. We have registered an FIR and are conducting an investigation. The accused will be arrested soon.”
