The police booked 34 persons for violating the curfew orders in the district yesterday.

They said cases were registered against those who violated the orders of the district magistrate over the curfew restrictions in Samana, Tripuri, Patran, Patiala city, Passiana, Ghagga, Sanaur, Bhadson and other areas under Section 188 of the IPC. Meanwhile, the police party at the Civil Lines said a case was registered against Salman Khan, resident of Pratap Nagar, after he was found roaming outside his house despite being quarantined. They said a team of doctors had collected samples of those in contact of Covid-19 patients and Salman had been advised to stay in isolation for 14 days. — TNS
