Patiala, July 21

The district today reported 49 fresh cases of Covid-19.

While 39 persons tested positive in Patiala city alone, two each from Koli and Kahlomajra and one each from Nabha, Samana, Rajpura, Harpalpur, Dudhan Sadhan and Shutrana were also found infected.

There are 188 active cases in the district.

Civil Surgeon Raju Dhir said residents were advised to wear a mask, frequently wash hands with water and soap or use hand sanitiser, avoid gatherings and maintain social distance to deter another wave of Covid-19.
