Patiala, March 2

Almost after four months, Patiala reported 89 coronavirus positive cases in a single day on Tuesday.

The district has been witnessing a sudden surge in the number of coronavirus cases.

Three government schoolteachers and students in Samana tested positive.

The district health department said the school had been shut for the next two days.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
