Newly appointed Deputy Commissioner (DC) Satpal Sharma today chaired a meeting to discuss the removal of encroachments on Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) and Municipal Corporation (MC) land near the Mata Mansa Devi Temple complex.

Addressing the gathering, Sharma said in the recent meeting of the Shri Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board, chaired by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, directions were issued to ensure that the temple premises remain completely encroachment-free so as to preserve its sanctity and grandeur.

He emphasised that no encroachment would be permitted on land belonging to the HSVP or MC and instructed officials to initiate necessary action while ensuring minimum inconvenience to the public.

The DC also reviewed preparations for the forthcoming Ashwin Navratri fair, beginning on September 22.

Stressing that Mata Mansa Devi Temple is a spiritual centre of faith for millions of devotees, he directed officials to complete all arrangements well in advance to facilitate smooth and organised darshan. He further instructed that a special cleanliness drive be undertaken within the temple complex to provide devotees with a clean and sacred environment.

The meeting was attended by senior officers of the district administration along with former Speaker of the Haryana Assembly Gian Chand Gupta and District BJP President Ajay Mittal.

Among those present were Additional Deputy Commissioner Nisha Yadav, SDM Chandrakant Kataria, Joint Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Gaurav Chauhan, Chief Sanitary Inspector Avinash Singla, HSVP Executive Engineer N.K. Payal, Tehsildar Suresh Kumar, Naib Tehsildar Hardev Singh, Mandal Adhyaksh Pramod Vats, Yuvraj Kaushik, Gautam Rana and other senior officials of the administration.
