Angel tops Patiala, 15 others on PSEB Class X exam merit list

A total of 16 students from the district have figured in the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) Class X merit list. Girls have dominated grabbing 15 positions while only one boy has figured in the merit list. Patiala stood 13 in the merit list district.

Angel Gupta of Playway School Patiala has topped the district by scoring 639 out of 650 marks and secured the 11th rank in Punjab.

Similarly, Imani Garg, daughter of Harish Chandra from Spring Dale Public High School, secured the second position in the district with 97.85 percent.

The third position in the district was secured Gurtej Singh, the only boy who figured in merit list, obtained 97.69 percent marks.

Besides, Mahakpreet Kaur from Government Senior Secondary School Mahru 97.69 percent, Anmolpreet Kaur, Malwa Public Senior Secondary School97.69 percent, Harmanpreet Kaur, from Guru Teg Bahadur Public School Karhali Sahib, with 97.54 percent, Simran from School of Eminence Pheel Khana with 98.38 percent, Gurjot Kaur, daughter of Gurcharan Singh from Senior Secondary Model School Punjabi University, Patiala, with 92.62 percent, Mannat, daughter of Nitish Kumar from Playway Senior Secondary School Lahori Gate, with 96.92 percent, Amanpreet Preet Kaur, from Government Senior Secondary School Gazipur, with 96.77 percent, Jasleen Kaur, daughter of Jaspal Singh from Senior Secondary Model School Punjabi University, Patiala University, with 96.62 percent, Neha Arya, daughter of Krishan Kumar from Playway Senior Secondary Lahori Gate with 96.62 percent, Sarabjit Kaur from Green Land Public School Ranjit Vihar, 96.62 percent, and Ritika Bawa, from Playway Senior Secondary School Lahori Gate, 96.62, have secured their places in the merit list.

Students from private schools dominated the merit list. Along with the district topper, four students from Playway School have secured their places in the merit list. Five students from government schools have made it to the merit list, while 11 students from private schools have achieved a place. In the recently announced results of the twelfth grade as well, private schools were at the forefront.
