The President of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Punjabs Mahila Morcha unit, Jai Inder Kaur, has strongly condemned the arrest of BJP worker Rajesh Attri from Patiala.

The leader accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government of engaging in vendetta politics and misusing the Punjab Police to target BJP workers.

Kaur further criticised Chief Minister (CM) Bhagwant Mann-led government for its misplaced priorities, claiming that while Patiala grapples with security threats like rocket launchers being discovered, the Punjab Police is instead focused on filing false, and politically motivated charges against BJP workers.

At the centre of the controversy is Rajesh Attri's arrest by the Civil Lines police, which stemmed from a complaint about a misunderstood WhatsApp call. The complainant alleged that Attri made derogatory remarks during the call, leading to an arrest without thorough investigation. Kaur further emphasised that the AAP's continued political vendetta following its defeat in Delhi reflects their desperation and authoritarian approach, aimed at silencing critics who call out AAP’s failures and corruption.
