Yadvinder Singh Papra, son of a Punjab Police ASI, has secured the 65th position in the PCS judicial examination held in October 2023.

The pending list of those who cleared the exam was shared by the Punjab Public Service Commission on Thursday. Yadvinder is all set to take up his new assignment. After completing his schooling at a government school in Kakrala village, he pursued his legal studies at Punjab University’s regional centre in Ludhiana, under the guidance of his uncle Sukhchain Singh, PCS (Allied), currently serving as Sangrur DDPO. Yadvinder’s mother, Manjeet Kaur, is a homemaker. He said he grasped knowledge of the legal framework while observing the work of his father, Gurdas Singh.

He said that throughout his childhood, the determination instilled in him by his grandmother, Surjit Kaur, kept him focused on his studies.

Yadvinder said that instead of seeking employment abroad, the youth of Punjab should work hard and contribute to their country’s progress, thus bringing honour to their families.
