Fatehgarh Sahib, August 18

A biker was killed and the pillion rider injured in a collision with an SUV near Bhateri village. The deceased has been identified as Rajindra Pal of Dhuri town. Gurveer Singh, a resident of Timbarpur, rushed both victims to the Sohana Hospital in Mohali in his car. The doctors declared Rajinder dead on arrival. The police have registered a case on a complaint filed by Bharti Bansal, son of the deceased. — OC
