The NCC wing of Senior Secondary Model School, Punjabi University, celebrated the 80th birth anniversary of Flying Officer Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon on Wednesday.

The students paid a tribute to the braveheart, who made the supreme sacrifice in the 1971 war. He is the only member of the Indian Air Force to have been honoured with the Param Vir Chakra. Cadets Gurjot Kaur and Drishti were the prominent speakers on this occasion.
