Punjab Finance and Planning Minister Harpal Singh Cheema and Minister for Employment Generation, New and Renewable Energy Sources, Governance Reforms, and Grievance Redressal, Aman Arora, who is also the state president of AAP, paid homage to the architect of the Constitution, Bhim Rao Ambedkar, on Maha Parinirvana Diwas. They visited Ambedkar’s memorial at Patiala Gate in Nabha to pay tributes.

Addressing the gathering, both leaders lauded Ambedkar’s vision, emphasising how he empowered marginalised communities by embedding their rights in the Constitution. They urged everyone to follow his ideals to build an equitable society.

Speaking to the media, both criticised the Central Government, accusing it of attempting to erode constitutional freedoms. “Using Haryana Police to block farmers from reaching Delhi is an insult to the democratic rights bestowed by Ambedkar,” they said, condemning the Centre’s actions as undemocratic and oppressive.
