Chiefs of Sanaur, Ghanaur, Ghagga, Devigarh civic bodies appointed

Urban Development Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian presided over the oath-taking ceremony of newly elected members of the Municipal Council, Sanaur, and Nagar Panchayats of Ghanaur, Devigarh and Ghagga.

Presidents and other office-bearers of the civic bodies were also elected on the occasion. The event was attended by local MLAs Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra, Gurlal Ghanaur and Kulwant Singh Bazigar.

Mandeep Kaur Hanjra was appointed as president of Nagar Panchayat, Ghanaur, where all 11 members were elected unanimously. Ankit Sood was appointed as senior vice-president, and Ravi Ghanaur vice-president.

Pardeep Joshan was unanimously elected as president of Municipal Council, Sanaur. Narinder Takhar was elected as senior vice-president and Kanwaljit Kaur vice-president.

Shavinder Kaur Dhanju was elected as president of Nagar Panchayat, Devigarh, and Lakhvir Singh and Amarjit Kaur as senior vice-president and vice-president, respectively.

Mithu Singh was elected as president of Nagar Panchayat, Ghagga, Shakti Goyal as senior vice-president, and Jaswant Singh as vice-president.

Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian congratulated the newly elected councillors. He asked them to ensure high-quality civic services to residents. The minister assured them that there would be no shortage of funds for the development of their cities and towns.

The newly elected presidents and office-bearers pledged to serve their constituencies with dedication and fairness, and would focus on development.

SDMs Avikesh Gupta, Manjit Kaur, Kirpalveer Singh and Ashok Kumar, along with executive officers Chetan Sharma, Lakhbir Singh and Rakesh Arora were among dignitaries and officials present on the occasion.
