Preeti Chawla, Member, Punjab State Food Commission, visited schools, ration depots, and Anganwadi centres to check the quality of food and ration being provided under various schemes of the National Food Security Act 2013. She reviewed the midday meal prepared in schools and expressed satisfaction. She assured the school authorities of a resolution to problems related to the basic infrastructure of the schools. She said the staff preparing the mid-meal should always pay attention to cleanliness and ensure compliance with all the rules.

While checking the ration depots, she checked the e-POS machines and storage facilities. She said she found everything in order. She also checked the Anganwadi centres, and during this, she inspected the registers of the centres and expressed satisfaction. Officials of various departments were present on this occasion.
