Employees working on a contract basis under the banner of Contract Employees Sangharsh Morcha today staged a protest in front of the DC office against the failure of the state government to regularise their services. They raised slogans against the state government and burnt copies of the Budget.

Union leaders Balwinder Shah and Gurwinder Singh Panjoli said the state government had been giving time for meetings with their leaders but those meetings had been cancelled thrice. The leaders alleged that the present government had also adopted the policy of previous governments and making false promises.
