A day after taking charge as the DIG, Mandeep Singh Sidhu, handed over 200 vehicles including trucks, tractors and cars that had been kept as case property by the police in cases of theft, accidents, etc to their owners. SSP Nanak Singh said around 200 vehicles were worth approximately Rs 5 crore that were handed over to their owners after the completion of the legal process. He said the legal process was being completed and around 550 vehicles would be handed over to their rightful owners. He appreciated the efforts of SP Jasbir Singh, Yogesh Kumar, DSP Neha Agarwal, Rajesh Kumar Malhotra and legal officers speeding up the legal formalities to return these vehicles. DIG Sidhu said such measures built trust and cooperation between the police and public.
