A total of 261 dogs of various breeds participated in a dog show held at Raja Bhalendra Singh Stadium as part of the Patiala Heritage Festival here today.

Poonamdeep Kaur, nodal officer of the Patiala Heritage Festival, said the exhibitors from far-off places: Jammu, UP, Delhi, Haryana, HP, Maharashtra, MP, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Jharkhand and other parts of the country participated in the show.

She said Tan OoHock from Malaysia and Anjeli Vaid from Delhi judged All Breed Championship Pointed show, while Aleksandar Ujlaki from Croatia judged the Rottweiler Speciality show.

GP Singh Brar, secretary-general of the Patiala Kennel Club, said 44 German Shepherd, 27 Labrador, 26 Rottweiler, 19 Golden Retriever, 17 Beagle participated in the show. Belgian Shepherd, Douge DeBordeaux, Cane Corso, Shih Tzu, Samoyed, Siberian Husky, and Indian breed Caravan Hound were the main attractions. — TNS
