The Regional Office of the Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB) conducted inspections across the district to curb the sale of the banned Chinese kite string.
The teams visited Book Markets, Pickle Bazaar, Safabadi Gate, Samana and Rajpura. During the inspections, no shop was found selling the banned Chinese kite string.

Shopkeepers were urged not to sell the banned product. Additionally, PPCB appeals to the public to avoid using banned china string, manjha, nylon, or synthetic thread for kite flying, as these pose serious environmental and safety hazards.
