Continuing its tirade against drug peddlers, the police today demolished a house of the drug peddler at Machrai Khurd village in Amloh sub-division of the district. It has been alleged that the family, which owned the house, smuggled and sold drugs.

SSP Subham Aggarwal said one Harjeet Singh, alias Billa, and his mother Ranjit Kaur were facing more than five FIRs under the NDPS Act and attempt to murder cases. He said the family was involved in sale and smuggling of drugs. He said with the help of village panchayat, BDPO and other officials, their house constructed from the money earned from the sale of drugs was demolished today. He said Harjeet Singh was in jail and his family members were either behind bars or on the run.
