The Punjab Youth Leaders Program (PYLP) was launched recently at Thapar University here.

The programme brings together a diverse group of young leaders from across India, united in their mission to revitalise the educational landscape of Punjab.

The launch event, held at Thapar University in Patiala, featured a compelling showcase of the group’s insights and initiatives through a thought-provoking play.

The presentation shed light on critical social issues affecting education in Punjab, offering innovative solutions envisioned by the young leaders.

Attendees included Deputy DEO Manvinder Kaur Bhullar, District Coordinator Rajwant Singh, Amandeep Kaur from the Patiala District Education Department, along with members of the Sanjhi Sikhiya team, families, and friends of the young leaders.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
