Multani Mal Modi College celebrated National Science Day to remember the Nobel Prize winner Indian Physicist, Dr CV Raman, and to encourage the students to focus on the scientific knowledge traditions and achievements of Indian scientists in the field of science and technology.

The National Science Day theme for this year’s celebration reflects a strategic focus to promote public appreciation for science, technology and innovations and accomplishments of Indian scientists to address challenges through home-grown technologies and scientific research. The chief guest was Prof Surindra Lal, a member of the management committee. The event was inaugurated with lighting the lamp and floral felicitation of the dignitaries.

Principal Neeraj Goyal said India had made an immense contribution to the fields of science, technology and innovation. He said the college was committed to development of scientific temperament and observational skills among students.

Various competitions and events, including auiz, rangoli making, paper reading, poster presentation and caption contest, were organised.
