An AICTE-approved three-day faculty development programme on universal human values was inaugurated at Jagat Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State Open University (JGND-PSOU) today.

MLA Ajitpal Singh Kohli, was chief guest at the programme. Rajneesh Arora, Chairman, National Coordination Committee for Induction Programme at AICTE delivered keynote address.

Kholi talked about the change witnessed by society in the past five decades due to AI. “It is crucial to sensitise teachers on universal human values so that they can provide moral education to students.”

Arora said, “Universal human values are essential for human conduct. The New Education Policy focuses on development of skills and values among learners. It is the responsibility of teachers to make students understand the difference between self-existence and co-existence.”
