While felicitating 41 distinguished alumni of the college, Bains said it was a matter of immense pride that North India’s oldest educational institution has, over the last 150 years, produced eminent judicial officers, IAS, IPS, and PCS officers, besides outstanding personalities in the armed forces, police, journalism, and other fields. He emphasised that the institution has played a pivotal role in educating generations of Punjabis and preparing them to become torchbearers of their times.

College Principal Maninder Kaur Sidhu shared details about the institution’s rich legacy. She urged the government to release funds at the earliest for the restoration of the structure.

A documentary on the journey of the college, prepared by alumnus Bahadur Singh and his team, was released on the occasion, along with a commemorative souvenir.
