The chief guest, District Civil Surgeon Dr Jagpalinder Singh, said the campaign focuses on creating awareness about HIV/AIDS transmission, prevention, treatment and tuberculosis. It will hold interactive sessions, workshops and outreach programmes for high-risk groups, youth and the general public.

The campaign will also aim to reduce stigma and discrimination associated with HIV/AIDS.

Nodal Officer and in charge of Red Ribbon Club Dr Rajeev Sharma said the campaign was also aimed at encouraging people to get tested and know their status, thereby reducing the spread of the disease.
