Khera BDPO given charge of Sirhind

Fatehgarh Sahib, July 10
Ramesh Kumar, who was working as Sirhind BDPO, has been suspended after orders from Additional Chief Secretary Rural Development and Panchayat Department Alok Sekhar. Khera BDPO has been given the responsibility of the Sirhind office. The office staff, MGNREGA workers, and Panchayat Secretaries have called off their strike and resumed work.
Employees of the Sirhind Block Development and Panchayat Office (BDPO), Panchayat Secretary and MGNREGA Employees’ Union had gone on strike, alleging charges of corruption and misbehaviour at the BDPO. They told the authorities that they would not work under him until he was transferred
