Dr DP Singh, Professor and head, Department of Genearl and Minimally Invasive Surgery, Amar Hospital, delivered Dr PK Sen Memorial oration at ASICON 2021, which is being held virtually this year.

The oration was started by the Association of Surgeons of India in 1993. Dr DP Singh, former Head of Surgery, Medical College, Rajindra Hospital, is the first surgeon to be chosen for the oration from amongst all state medical colleges, ever since it was instituted. He delivered oration on the topic of “Tips for safe laparoscopic cholecystectomy”. He was given a citation at the end of his presentation. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
