The National Lok Adalat for settlement of cases by mutual consent will be held on September 14, in which pending cases from different courts, except serious criminal cases, will be disposed of by mutual consent, said District and Sessions Judge Arun Gupta. He said the National Lok Adalat would be held in district courts and subdivision-level courts as well.

He said civil, negotiable, criminal, bank recovery, check bounce, labour-related disputes, electricity and water bills, domestic disputes pending, and pre-litigation cases would be considered for settlement in the Lok Adalat. He urged banking officials to file pending recovery cases in the Lok Adalat for quick disposal. He also urged insurance companies to file pending cases.
