A meeting was held today under the chairmanship of the Isha Singhal, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), at the committee hall to discuss ex-situ management of crop residue with industry representatives.

Representatives from various industries, which included pellet manufacturers, power plants and industrial units using paddy in their boilers, were present at the meeting.

During the meeting Singhal emphasised on the importance of compliance with the government directives regarding the management of paddy stubble and to achieve targets given to them.

The meeting is part of the ongoing efforts to address stubble management and reduce pollution levels in Patiala district. Further action and regular monitoring would follow to ensure the effective implementation of the discussed measures, said Singhal.
