Cabinet Minister Chetan Singh Jauramajra laid the foundation stone for development projects worth Rs 3.5 crore in about a dozen villages today.

Speaking at the event, Jauramajra talked about the state government’s commitment to improving the infrastructure of grain markets and link roads. He added that covered sheds would be constructed at grain markets in Mehmedpur, Sultanpur and Banera Kalan, and a link road connecting village Barsat to Banera and extending to the Surajpur link road would also be laid. Jauramajra said that the tiles would be laid in the grain markets of Gajju Majra, Lutki Majra and Dhablan.

Mandi Board chairman Harchand Singh Barsat was also present at the event. He claimed that the Centre has been withholding funds of Rs 5,700 crore earmarked for rural development . He and expressed gratitude for the state government’s initiative to strengthen the infrastructure in the state.
