Punjab Public School, Nabha, welcomed back its illustrious alumnus, Malkiat Singh, from the ISC Batch of 1988, recently. The 54-year-old adventurer etched his name in history by scaling Mount Everest on May 19, 2023.

In his address to the students, Malkiat credited the school for instilling in him the values of discipline, resilience and courage that played a pivotal role in his historic feat.

Reflecting on his school years, he highlighted the rigorous training and holistic education he received at PPS as the foundation of his success. To inspire young minds, he displayed his mountaineering equipment, offering insights into the challenges of scaling the world’s tallest peak. His presentation captivated the students, igniting a spark of adventure and determination among them.

Headmaster DrDC Sharma felicitated Malkiat with a traditional shawl and a commemorative memento.
