The 34th All India GV Mavlankar Shooting Championship in Shotgun Events concluded with the medal ceremony for the Skeet (NR) events at the New Moti Bagh Gun Club here today. The tournament was conducted under the aegis of the National Rifle Association of India and hosted by the Punjab Rifle Shooting Association.

In the women category, Srajal Singh of Madhya Pradesh (MP) claimed a clean sweep, winning gold medals in skeet youth, junior and women events. Ridhi Batra of Rajasthan and Anushka Lowanshi of MP followed with silver and bronze medals, respectively, in all three events.

The men’s events saw Aayan Warsi of MP emerge as the standout performer, securing gold medals in the skeet youth, junior and men events, while Shardul Sen, also from MP settled for silver in all three events. Trimaan Singh of Punjab bagged bronze in the youth and junior events, and Aaryaman Lairenjam of Manipur claimed bronze in the senior men’s event.

In the masters’ category, Vidur Chandy of Goa took gold in skeet men masters and Gurinder Garcha of Punjab finished second. The super masters event saw Simmerjit Sekhon and Gurprit Gill, both from Punjab, claim gold and silver, respectively. — TNS
