Fatehgarh Sahib MP Dr Amar Singh presented a memorandum to Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and urged him to bring in a law to give legal rights to MSP in the upcoming budget session, as promised by the BJP-led government in 2021.

While talking to The Tribune, the MP said he told the minister that the government promised the legal right to MSP to farmers in 2021. He said that despite this, no concrete steps have been taken in this regard. He said this is why the farmers were forced to start their march to Delhi to demand the Centre implement decisions on their conceded demands.
