National Health Mission (NHM) employees have decided to gherao Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann during the Independence Day function which shall be celebrated in honour of Goa liberation struggle martyr Karnail Singh Isru at Isru village in Ludhiana on Thursday. The NHM union members staged a protest at Fountain Chowk today and raised slogans against the government.

Rajwinder Singh, state president of NHM medical and paramedical union, said the CM was claiming that the NHM staff, who had performed exceptional service during the Covid pandemic, would be regularised. “We have been listening to these lofty claims for a long time but we are not sure if our services will be regularised,” said Rajwinder.
