One dies as car rams into truck

Due to fog a car rammed into a parked truck near Multani Dhaba on the National Highway in Sirhind. One person was killed, while three others were injured in the accident. The deceased was identified as Suhob, a resident of Delhi, and the injured as Deepak, Mohammad Danish and Prakash Panchal.

ASI Avtar Singh of Nabipur police chowk said in the statement given to the police Saifuddin, a resident of Delhi, said his nephew Suhob, and his friends Danish, Deepak and Prakash were going from Amritsar to Delhi. Danish was driving, while Suhob was sitting on the front seat with him, he said, adding that at 7 am there was heavy fog due to which visibility was low and near a dhaba a truck was parked. He said the truck’s parking lights were off due to which the mishap took place. The car’s occupants were rushed to Fatehgarh Sahib Civil Hospital where Suhob died. He said that the truck driver fled. The police have registered a case against the unidentified truck driver.
