Though no incident of injury by the leopard has been reported, the district administration has become alert. Besides, the residents of the area are making announcements from gurdwaras to alert others.

The villagers said videos of a leopard roaming in the villages of Patiala district had surfaced in the last few days. Now, the footprints of a leopard were seen near a pig farm last night.

Meanwhile, the district administration also swung into action. DC Parneet Shergill directed all SDMs of the district to alert the field staff.
