Karan Noor Singh, 17, a student of Our Lady of Fatima Convent Secondary School here, has bagged the first position in the state in the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE), 2020, the result of which was declared recently. He secured 157 marks out of 200.

Another city lad, Aditya Garg, stood second in the state with 156 marks.

Subhav Garg, Kumar Anshuman, Gursahiljot Singh, Sidharth Angra, JatinSingla and Shreya Gupta, all from Patiala, also cleared the exam. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
