To curb unauthorised construction and protect public investments, the Patiala Development Authority (PDA) today demolished unauthorised colonies in Dhamo Majra and Passiana villages. These colonies were found to be in violation of the Punjab Apartment and Property Regulation Act, 1995.

PDA Chief Administrator Manisha Rana said, “We are committed to taking stringent action against any unauthorised colonies developed within the jurisdiction of the PDA. This step is crucial to safeguard public investments and ensure that development is regulated.”

Senior PDA officials said several unauthorised colonies had been issued notices. “If they fail to respond or submit the necessary documents within the notice period, similar action will be initiated against them, including the registration of FIRs,” the official added.
