Patiala’s Aliana Sharma brought laurels to city, her school, coaches and parents as she bagged two gold medals and a silver medal in the 68th Inter-District School Games Swimming Competition.

She also broke two records in the 200-m and 100-m breast stroke competition. A student of Class VII at St Peter’s Academy in the city, she was trained by coaches Rajpal Singh Chahal and Raj Kumar Raju. Aliana won the 100-m breast race in just 1.31 minutes. She won the 200-m in 3.17 minutes and also won a silver medal in the 50 meter event.
