The Panchayat Department has successfully evicted illegal occupants from over 5 acres of shamlat land in Tarain village. These illegal occupants had been occupying the land for about 20 years.

Patiala BDPO, Sumrita, said that following the directions of the government, the department is reclaiming panchayat lands from illegal encroachers.

She said to reclaim this shamlat land in the village, they followed the directions of Deputy Commissioner Showkat Ahmad Parray and DDPO Amandeep Kaur. She added that any remaining illegal encroachments in Patiala would be cleared as well.
