Patiala Police nab 2 Bambiha Gang shooters after encounter

The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon near Raungla village on Bhadson road.
Confirming the developments Patiala SSP Varun Sharma identified the two as Harpreet Singh alias Makhan of Saifdipur village, Patiala, and Gautam Badshah of Nabha.
The police team, led by SP investigation Gurbans Bains, will now interrogate the accused, who have sustained injuries. “When asked to surrender, the two accused opened fire at the police party and fired five shots. The cops, showing utmost restraint, responded in retaliation and shot both of them on their lower body,” said the SSP.
Police said that the two have been admitted to the Government Rajindra Hospital for medical treatment. “We will interrogate them once they are medically declared fit. Both had many cases under an Arms act against them in different police stations of Punjab,” said Sharma.
Police have recovered two pistols along with 10 cartridges and a motorcycle without registration number from the possession of the accused.
