Patiala Range IG MS Chhina promoted as ADGP
Chandigarh, August 23
The Punjab government on Wednesday promoted Patiala Range IG Mukhwinder Singh Chhina as Additional Director General of Police (ADGP).
Home Secretary Gurkirat Kirpal Singh issued the orders in this regard.
While serving as IG Patiala Range, Chhina handled several serious law and order situations, including Dera Sacha Sauda crisis in Bathinda and Kali Mata Mandir crisis in Patiala. He was also instrumental in handling the farmers’ agitation at PSPCL headquarters at Patiala.
Chhina has also been awarded President’s Medal for Meritorious Service.
