Fatehgarh Sahib MLA Lakhbir Singh Rai today flagged off a bus under the Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana. With a large group of pilgrims on board, the bus was flagged off at Bhagrana village. The bus would take the pilgrims to Amritsar and Anandpur to pay obeisance at gurdwaras there.

The MLA said under this scheme, the Punjab Government has provided the facility of free travel to pilgrimage sites across the country. He said, “Under this scheme by CM Mann, the expenses of the passengers were being paid by the state government.”

The passengers were medically examined before they embarked on their journey, and they were also given ‘Chief Minister’s pilgrimage bags’ that contained essential items that the pilgrims may require on their trip.
