Preparations for the occasion, which was given the name ‘cyclothon’ by the police, had been going on for the last few days. “We must do everything to keep youngsters aware about the menace of drugs and promoting cycling and other games is the best way,” said the SSP.

Certificates of participation and mementoes were given to the participants. The DIG gave away prizes and honours to cyclists. He said the police had waged an all-out war against drugs and those smuggling it in the state were being dealt with strictly.
