According to the DSP (City) Satnam Singh, the police visited a private school near the old bus stand following complaint by parents of the five-year-old student of the school against a security guard for “assaulting him”. “The student told his parents that on Monday he was beaten by the security guard after the school recess. We have asked for the CCTV footage from the school. Other staffers from the school will also be questioned,” the DSP said.

He said the child, who was admitted to a hospital, had complained of stomach pain after “physical assault”. “We are not ruling out any foul play and have already questioned some school staffers”, the DSP said.
