The Head of Education Department at Punjabi University, Dr Jagpreet Kaur, has been honoured by the Ministry of Education under the ‘SPARK’ for a project falling under the ‘Scheme for Promotion of Academic and Research Collaboration’, which is aimed at enhancing academic and research collaboration between institutions at the national and international levels. Dr Jagpreet collaborated with Dr Madhuri Hooda, professor, Education Department, MD University, Rohtak, on this project.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
