Director of EMRC (Educational Multimedia Research Centre) at Punjabi University Patiala, Daljit Ami, has been nominated as a jury member for the PRAKRITI International Documentary Film Festival.

It is noteworthy that this festival is organised annually at various locations across the country by CEC (Consortium for Educational Communication), New Delhi. The 15th edition of this festival, focused on the Southeast Asian region, was recently held in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Daljit Ami has been nominated in the Jury for 16th edition of the festival.

Prof Jagat Bhushan Nadda, Director of CEC (Consortium for Educational Communication), mentioned that this festival, which started in 1997, hosts competitions for documentary films in four different categories: Environment, Development, Human Rights, and Swachh Bharat.

Experts related to these subjects and documentary filmmaking are nominated as jury members in each category. Daljit Ami has been nominated for the documentaries in the ‘Swachh Bharat’ category.

Ami said that his nomination was a result of his contributions over the past and regular participation in film festivals while representing EMRC Patiala.
