Punjabi University Patiala's research scholar develops software capable of creating sentences in Punjabi

Punjabi University’s research scholar at the faculty of computer science has developed software that is capable of creating sentences in Punjabi. He is one among the university’s faculty and research scholars who are working on development of Punjabi and integrating it with technological advancement of Punjabi with the help of artificial intelligence.

Research scholar Arvinder Singh said the software created by him would be instrumental in creating different sentences with the same meaning.

“I have created the software while working on the ‘development of algorithm for paraphrasing in Punjabi language’. It will soon be made public. We have created a reservoir of works and sentences, which will be instrumental in the system’s process of creating sentences on a given subject matter. This will help in searching content online with the help of Google search as well. The software system will understand our given statement and convert it into various questions and enable easy online searching. It will also help prepare written content in different formats as per different use,” he said.
