The total number of medals won by Punjabi University in the 2024 World University Championship being held in New Delhi has reached six with shooters Arshdeep Kaur and Jangsher Singh clinching three more medals.

Arshdeep Kaur won gold medal in the 25-metre pistol event as a team and Abhey Singh Sekhon won bronze medal in an individual event. Notably, this is Arshdeep Kaur’s third medal in the championship. Earlier, she had won a gold medal in a team event and a bronze at individual level.

Punjabi University shooter Jangsher Singh Virk won silver medal in a mixed team event. In the same championship, Prekshit Singh Brar had won gold medal.

The university authorities, including Dean Academic Affairs Prof Narinder Kaur Multani, Registrar Prof Sanjeev Puri and Director of the Sports Department Prof Ajita congratulated all players and their coaches, Swaranjit Kaur and Surinder Kaur, along with the Sports Department.
