University security officials were called to the spot to ensure law and order.

Students of the MCA batch 2017-2020 have been protesting since Monday over being repeatedly failed in a particular exam. Yesterday, they were assured that the university will re-evaluate their papers. Students said the university failed to honour its assurance by 3 pm, which was the time given to them. They said they locked Batra in his office for an hour after which he left the office through a window. University security head Captail Gurtej Singh said he and other security officers were present on the spot.

The university later released revised results of the students and they failed the exam yet again. Then, they moved their protest to the office of the VC. — TNS
